Best of 2012

All of my gel ink pens have been used up, and I’m reaching the last few pages of my Spirax notebook. It must be the end of the year.
We’re going to be taking a little break until mid January, but before we go, here’s a few posts from throughout the year to inspire or amuse. Earlier today I emailed Gill to ask which posts stuck with her. Together we’ve compiled a list of our favourites. They’re not necessarily the ones with the most clicks and likes, but they resonate.
When your blog has no point, be good
How much of your life is wrapped in newspapers?
Wishing you all a very safe and happy holiday season, and catch you in January. Thanks for reading and sharing this journey with us. Blogging is really all about connection.
Cheers, Big Ears. x
Leave a link to your favourite blog post of 2012 – your own or someone else’s – in the comments. Even though we’re glad for the break, I know by New Years I’ll be hankering for some good reads.

Heh I am doing one of these posts tomorrow. My greatest hits from 2012 aren’t anything on yours though!
‘When your blog has no point, be good’ is definitely my fave of the year and it’s been nice to revisit it today as my writing goal for 2013 is to try and ‘show up’ less often and ‘be good’ more often
Thanks for the robust debate in the last week or two girls. Sometimes it’s really nice to have people say ‘sorry, don’t agree!!’
Here’s my favourite post of 2012: http://www.kellyexeter.com.au/life-is-not-a-meritocracy-so-its-time-to-pick-yourself/
While this one (ironically published today on MM) is a close second (it’s one I wish it didn’t have to exist at all): http://www.mamamia.com.au/health-wellbeing/avoid-road-accident-this-holiday
Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year, Karen!
Loved all of these posts! Especially writing with your sneakers on.
My favourite of my own in 2012 was http://stellaorbit.com/2012/11/blogvember-post-the-last-what-no-one-tells-you-part-one/
I will write part two soon.
Happy new year xo
So much good to soak up. Thank you both for sharing. Happy NY and enjoy your break x
I love your list – they resonated with me too. I particularly loved ‘When your blog has no point, be good’, and ‘How much of your life is wrapped in newspapers’. Your writing is so sharp, Karen. I adore it. I didn’t realise you did this post before Christmas… only just discovered it now. I just happen to have done a best of post myself. Can I still share it? http://www.brightandprecious.com/2012/12/the-best-of-2012/
